Promotional poster for Vail that features a bird's eye view of a group getting first tracks. Vail Ski Resort was founded in 1962 by Earl Eaton, Pete Seibert, and Harley Higbie, at the base of Vail Pass, and named after Charles Vail, designer of the highway that passed through the valley. Vail has one of the largest skiable terrain areas in North America, and is world famous for its deep powder and Bavarian style village.
