Illustrated land promotion prospectus for land in Box Elder County, Utah, and Oneida and Cassia counties in southern Idaho. On August 14, 1909, the Promontory-Curlew Land Company was organized with David Eccles as president, Joseph Howell as vice-president, H E. Hatch as treasurer, Herschel Bullen, Jr., as secretary, and Seth A. Langton as manager. The Promontory - Curlew company operated for fifty years (1909-1959) promoting dry-farming in the arid region north and west of the Great Salt Lake. "With wheat you will always be able to get the gold; but with gold you may not always be able to get the wheat. The time is fast approaching when the owners of the land will be rulers of the world."
