The frame and matte are in nice condition. This has not been examined out of the frame. Appears fine. Item #4190

Vibrant image of the Colorado [Grand] River through the Grand River Canyon, by the famed pioneer western photographer, William Henry Jackson. Image shows the Colorado [Grand] River flowing through the Echo Cliffs which are located in Glenwood Canyon. The Denver and Rio Grande Railroad Company tracks above the south bank. Jackson was a partner in the Detroit Photographic Company, the publisher of this image.

William Henry Jackson (1843-1942) was one of the most prolific (and maybe the most famous) of Western photographers. During his lengthy career, Jackson photographed numerous views of the West between Nebraska and California, from cliff dwellings to industrial urban centers.
