Fargo, D.T. F. Jay Haynes, (c.1880). Small panorama albumen photograph [9 cm x 15.5 cm] on a yellow Haynes (stereoview) mount [10 cm x 18 cm] with Haynes 'Northern Pacific Views.' Very good. Age toning to mount and image with a scuff to the backstamp that effects the text. Extremities show some rubbing. Item #302

Rare image of a Birdseye of Fargo drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler (1842-1922) The perspective is from the northeast looking southwest, with the tracks running through the city to the west. The circle on the left side is Island Park. Photographed by F.J. Haynes (1853-1921) who was one of the most prolific of the West’s early photographers.
