This work is Alex Joseph’s rebuttal to Gerald Tanner, who questioned the validity of Joseph Smith’s translation of the ancient Egyptian that appears in the ‘Pearl of Great Price.’ (‘Mormonism – Shadow or Reality’ - 1972).
The preface states that this is an excerpt of a longer work that was at the time unfinished. Parts of this work would be incorporated into Joseph’s opus ‘Dry Bones’ that was published the following year.
Alex Joseph (1936-1998) was an outspoken independent polygamist, cultural radical and the founder of the ‘Confederate Nation of Israel”.
