"This structure, erected upon one of the most elevated points on the field, affords the visitor an excellent opportunity to view the beauties and study the positions occupied by the contending armies during this great struggle. Nearly every point of interest can be seen, besides several mountain chains and a number of neighboring villages. The view from this elevated position is strikingly grand." - from label.
