View of the Bransford Apartments from the west with the Lion and Beehive Houses in the foreground. The Bransford Apartments was a magnificent historic apartment building in Salt Lake City, Utah, that was built in 1904 and demolished in 1984. Also known through its history as the Emery Holmes Apartments, Louise Grace Emery Apartments, and Eagle Gate Apartments, the structure stood prominently next to the iconic Eagle Gate Monument at the northeast corner of South Temple and State Street. The Bransford was designed by renowned Salt Lake City architect John Charles Craig, the building was recognized for its grand urban multi-story brick design, unique balconies, and fine interior features like a dedicated central dining room.
