This large view of Samuel James Hooper Pingree (1862-1924) with his wives, Cynthia and Sarah, and some of their children. Pingree was the founder of Pingree National Bank of Ogden, who also owned a number of other banks. He also was a major investor in Utah & California Sugar, Ogden Packing and Provision Company, and Union Portland Cement Company. Heber Harris Thomas (1862-1926), was active as a photographer in Ogden between 1890-1910, and later moved the studio to Salt Lake City. Images by Thomas are rare.
