Marriner Wood Merrill (1832-1906) was a pioneering settler of Cache Valley and a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, he was the first president of the Logan Temple. He served in both offices in the church for the rest of his life. Merrill had 8 wives and 43 children.
