Heber City: April 12, 1874. Single page letter [23 cm x 19 cm] Gentle wear to extremities. In this letter Nicol requests money and assistance with a mine that is being worked, presumably in the Wasatch back near Heber. Item #10460

"Heber City April 12, 1874. Mr. Walker. Sir, Since we write to your about the Wasatch mines we have been working or that it and we have struck the lead and it is six feet better then walls and the ____ high grade. You sent word out here to me that you are going East and if you could come out or send out before you go. You would know for yourself if don't want to come out or send please help us what can and we will remunerate to you our tunnel is one hundred feet and we got the mineral in the tunnel. Please write and let us know what you can do if you come or send let us know when and we will meet you yours respectfully Thomas Nicol Heber City."
